Happy Hump Day all! Wednesday are extra early mornings for me because I go in early so I can head out early to my Weight Watcher Meeting…so, this morning my lunch bag was a total grab and go!
Today I maintained at weigh in, but, it was completely expected based on my weight loss graph. Yes, I am dorky like that and graph my weight each week. I seem to hit a lull every 4 weeks where I either have a small loss or maintain pretty consistently. I am ok with it because I know if I keep working it, then, next week it will show a loss 🙂
I felt pretty environmentally friendly with my thrown together breakfast that came complete with it’s own recyclable bowl 😀
1 TJ’s LF Organic Vanilla Yogurt (2 pts)
1/3 c TJ’s FF cottage cheese (1 pt) – added to boost the protein/satiety
1 plum (.5 pts)
Of course, I made time to whip up my Mock Latte with 1 c decaf Starbuck’s House blend, 1 cup fat free milk, CSARAMEL DRIZZLE, lotsa ice (2 pts)
For those wondering…yup, that is how I make ALOT of my work decisions 😉
I have a “slight” addiction going on right now with Trader Joe’s Spicy Low Fat Peanut Dressing and Organic Broccoli Slaw. I had TWO bowls like this (2 pts) plus 1 Babybel Light Cheese (1 pt).
I braved the wind and rain today to make sure I sent my packages to the lucky Furochic Winners 😀
Since the Post Office is right across from Whole Foods, I just happened to poke my head in to, ummmmm, browse 😀
When I saw JALEPENO + CHEESE+CORN BREAD, it was LOVE!
I knew I had to have my mix and match soup to go with it. I filled my container with 1/2 Turkey Chili and 1/2 Southwestern Chicken Chili (the perfect combo for someone like me who can never pick just one!)
I had 1/2 the soup (4 pts), plus 1/2 the Jalapeño Corn Bread (3 pts). That corn bread is seriously on my top list of BEST corn breads ever ~ it’s SPICY, CHEESY, DOUGHY and has whole pieces of CORN.
I just happened to see that my FAVORITE CHOCOLOVE was on sale ~ 2 for $4 and 5 for $1….so, you know I bought both flavors! 😀
5 points of LOVE and all was well ~ My DAY seemed so much better after this snack…yes, sometimes you NEED a little MILK Chocolate with TOFFEE and ALMONDS!
The Husband and I went to Vasquez for our usual’s…..I actually only had ONE Spicy Chicken Taco today (4 pts). I seriously wanted more, but, I wasn’t super hungry so I didn’t NEED the other. GO ME for resisting because after one bite, I wished I had two 😀
P.S. This is the chicken I am trying to re-create….it’s so juicy, spicy and melts in your mouth!
I had THREE fun packages waiting for me when I got home. My first package I knew was coming and couldn’t wait!
I signed up to try out Spuds Organic awhile back when Groupon had a half off deal!
Spud’s delivers everything you want from a grocery store to your door step. I LOVE that it’s organically grown and they list how many miles your foods had to travel to get to your do ~ ECO-FRIENDLY!
Since I have been having Farmer’s Market withdrawals, I decided to make mine into a CSA box versus pastas, sauces, dairy, meats, etc.
He wants me to feed him grapes ~ too bad our box didn’t include them 😉
Sorry, Spud, but, I have to say I wasn’t too impressed 🙁
1st there wasn’t any Kale….we got collard greens instead.
2nd ~ Our organic strawberries are mush and flavorless….not worth $5.99
3rd ~ Our sweet taters were mush too 🙁 3 of the 4 were salvageable at least.
It was fun to try and have it be half off, but, I am not so sure I’d order from Spud again.
Package #2 is a NEW to me Product
Have you all ever heard of 100% CHERRY JUICE? Me either, but, I LOVE cherries so I agreed to sample some CheriBundi.
Shake it like you mean it – FUN! I LOVE packaging that talks to me. 😉
The last package included samples from Crystal Pure Fitness. As you all know, I am NOT A FAN of Crystal Light since it is made with artificial sweeteners.
However, the Peeps over at Crystal finally caught onto the nothing fake band wagon and are now making PURE FITNESS which is sweetened with Cane Sugar. I STILL don’t like the Maltodextrin, but, this is a BIG improvement.
Reviews and a giveaway coming soon!
Alright all ~ The Husband is patiently waiting for me to watch a MOVIE.
Enter to win WISEMAN TEAS & YOUR VERY OWN MAGIC TEA POT!
Night all!

I was a Crystal Light addict before I started blogging, I can’t wait to hear what you think about this new version.
And they just started Groupon for Sacramento, but so far the deals have been too far away to be worth it for me. I hope they start to get awesome like the ones I hear about from other places!

Do you have a preference between the Laughing Cow cheese wedges and the Babybels? I’ve always been a LC girl, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it to branch out!

Mmm that WF lunch looks fabulous.
Yay for the post man!!
I can’t wait to see your reviews 🙂

That’s quite the loot 😉
Just wanted to stop by and welcome you to CEiMB. Are you making the southwestern hash today?
Danica says
Hi Katie,
You know they are both completely different or at least the Laughing Cows I’ve had. Laughing Cow is a spreadable cheese like cream cheese while the Babybel’s are a hard cheese that you eat. I LOVE Babybels as a nice change from my traditional Cabot or Sargento Cheese Squares.
Hope that helps!

Hi Elina,
Thanks for the welcome! I actually just made the Southwestern Hash on Tuesday and posted then. I thought we could make it any time but we just had to post it by Thursday? I am not sure so please do tell if I am doing it wrong.

Holy goodies Batman! You have a bunch of stuff to play with now lol. I absolutely love TJ’s Broccoli Slaw, I mix it with their Cucumber Dill Dip (not the technical name but is absolutely delicious and near the hummus). I chop up in the food processor, add onions and tomatoes and the dip and voila–a nice little creamy salad.
I need to try that Chocolove since you are always raving about it–I wonder if they sell it in stores here?
DanicasDaily says
HI Tiffany,
That dip sounds really yummy! I LOVE putting anything in my food processor to make a meal.
I buy my ChocoLOVE at Target, Whole Foods and the local grocery store. If you go to http://www.chocolove.com, you can check the store locator to find a store near you maybe. 🙂
Happy Friday!!!!
