Happy Sunday all! The Husband said to Thank You all for all the nice comments you gave him on his Super Secret Pasta Sauce Recipe. It is simple, but, honestly, it is really delicious and he makes it better than anyone I know.
I guess I sort of left you all hanging on Thursday night ~ it was late and I was a little loopy. The surgery they did on my shoulder was an out-patient orthoscopic surgery that they do right there at the doctor’s office. My doctor made the decision to do it right then and there because I had tried just about everything to date, yet, nothing was working. The pain was truly unbearable at times, I could not move my left arm at all and I was only sleeping about 2 hours at a time before waking up in pain. I will spare you all the details of it all, but, I will say it involved a whole lot of needles, pain and I am pretty sure at one point I might’ve yelled/cussed at my doctor during a few parts of it LOL. Fingers crossed it does the trick because honestly I am not sure I could convince myself to do it a second time.
Thank you all for the well wishes ~ even though I couldn’t really type, I was reading them all on my phone all day long and it really helped.
On a brighter note ~ I LOST 3.8 LBS at weigh in today! I am pretty sure it is because I haven’t had much of an appetite and have been eating like a kid only wanting soup, crackers, cheese and bread. I really LOVED our topic today and my leader did a fantastic job presenting all of her ideas on surviving Halloween complete with a points+ list of all the mini candies!
It doesn’t hurt that she totally brings snacks to our meetings……
We all received spider “anchors” to remind us of our goals when we reach in the bowl of Halloween Candy.
Plus Starbuck’s coffee & our 2points+ breakfast is served!
Told ya ~ she is the BEST LEADER ever

What is on your menu this week?
I have a super fun giveaway lined up for you all starting tomorrow!
Night all!
Chili is definitely on my menu this week, Gonna try it with some ground turkey though instead of beef. The rest of the ingredients are very health friendly. I’m loving the beginning of fall!!! 🙂 Oh, and I made a delish new dessert recipe for our church fish fry this past weekend. Check it out here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Pumpkin-Trifle-2 I had to try it off someone’s plate because by the time I got to it, it was gone! Low sugar and almost no fat!!!
First …. FANTASTIC weight in !! Just sorry it was partly because of you not feeling well enough to have an appetite.
Second…. SAY WHAT?!!! Your leader brings you guys snacks to the meeting? She does this every week? She definitely should win leader of the year.
I want to come to your meetings. Of course, since I’m in WA state, that would be quite the drive once a week.
Take care Danica, follow Dr.’s orders and I hope your recovery is quick and a total success.
Kathy not every meeting but she does on occasion and for the month of October.
Sometimes I believe that a day or two or three without exercise, does help the body to loose. Not saying to do this all the time or it helps all the time; but I do get surprised when it happens. Maybe one just eats less without realizing it.
I wish the leaders hear were like yours. It would make such a difference if the meetings were more natural. I love it when they go off script and bring their own ideas and samples. So happy you got through the surgery and all is OK.
Congrats on the significant drop of the scale Danica. And I envy your meetings, sounds so wonderful. (I’m at w w at work, and though our leader is fantastic, it’s often “on the fly” for most of the participants)
Keep getting better.
WOW!!! Conrats on the weight loss, I am impressed. Surgery no fun and hope you will have speedy healing and be pain free. I am excited for “Vegan Chorizo, Pepper, Potato & Egg Tacos recipe”, sounds interesting and yummy!
Congrats on the loss 😀 Healing does wonders for the waistline methinks.
Congrats on your weight loss, and on my menu I have the husband’s sauce
Glad to hear you are feeling a little better. I love your blog. You have really inspired me to eat better. Plus I am now a DIE-HARD Trader Joe’s fan! I go at least once a week!
My menu this week includes the TJ’s chicken sausage, grilled veggies and grilled pizza. Taking advantage of the warm weather before it is totally gone!
Wish I had a good meeting to go to…have tried a bunch but nothing great!
Make sure you don’t over do it as you start feeling better. Shoulders are really hard to heal correctly (I am a nurse lol), so do what the doctor says and take it easy for awhile!
Thanks Erin…I actually NEED to remember that so I don’t end up hurting myself all over again.
I hope your shoulder heals quickly and is better than ever. Congrats on the big loss!
nice job on the loss, D! love ya!
