Happy Wednesday all! I am so glad the week is half over today ~ it’s been a crazy, busy work week. I spent yesterday the day at the Winery and checking out the remodeling of our new tasting room. It’s so fun to see everything get put together, but, it definitely made for a long day when I add on my 4 hours of commuting with a days worth of meetings.
Here are a few snap shots of our newest Tasting Room Location opening this Spring.
I love that they brought over the wooden Geyser Peak sign ~ which is the first sign I took a picture with before I started working for the company.
I love the white fences, the deck that runs all the way around the building and the views of the vineyards surrounding the property.
This will be the VIP tasting room.
And when this is finished, it will be the main tasting room and store.
The Kitchen…only a food blogger could fall in love with a kitchen regardless of what kind of order it is in
Here are a few shots I took back in October before all the remodeling started. I thought I’d share them too.
The wine making facilities!
And storage…I do not know what it is about the barrel room and wine making rooms, but, I love the smell of wine being made.
Fun! I’ll definitely share more of the finished product once we have everything set up to open.
Today I was up early to head into the office for another fun filled day. Before heading out the door, I whipped up a Healthy Egg Roll (SF + 1 WPA) – 5 points+
Served up with snappy blueberries and banana chips
I honestly think breakfast is the easiest meal for me to make each day and I always look forward to it.
The Husband was incredibly nice and made up my lunch for me while I was getting ready this morning. I have to say it’s always fun to look in my bag to see what he made.
Simple salad topped with 1 Tbsp. Newman’s Lite Lime Vinaigrette (SF + 1 WPA) – 1 points+
And a big piece of Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Lasagna. It still does not look pretty, but, man, it tastes even better the next day. Deliciousness! (SF) – 9 points+
Afternoon power snack (SF) – 2 points+
So, he totally gets major points today! I had to work late and when I walked in the door….
I saw this…..
And this….
He even made us salads too!
Topped with Newman’s Lite Lime Vinaigrette (SF + 1 WPA) – 1 points+
My plate included 2 BBQ Pork “ribs” (SF) – 3 points+
1/2 cup of Annie’s Organic WW Mac N Cheese (SF + 2 WPA for the cheese sauce since the pasta is whole wheat!) 7 points+
I was cracking up at his plate ~ sometimes, he is such a guy!
Here are my stats today:
- Simple Filling (SF): 5 WPA (Weekly Points Allowance) used, 25 WPA remaining
- 28 Daily Points+ 2 WPA used, 43 WPA remaining

Girlfriend… You need to move closer to work… I used to commute from Pittsburg to San Rafael, and I thought that was bad!
DanicasDaily says
Nancy,
I am only 30 minutes from our corporate office where I work. It’s just data I visit the winery all the way out in Geyserville that it’s a trek.
Luckily it’s not daily 🙂

If only you had a winery in South FL…you know that’s my retirement dream…move to Australia and work in a winery 🙂 My FIL is always trying to find me nursing jobs…and I keep telling him NO NO NO…check the wineries! Gotta try that Annie’s Mac…looks yummy!

Was driving by Panda and stopped by and got an order of brown rice, steamed veggies plus the Firecracker chichen you recommended – my husband and I split it. It was delicious. Thanks for the tip. BTW, are there any other items on the menu that you know of that are power foods for the simply filling plan? Thanks, enjoy your blog and all the food pictures.

stumbled across your website looking for info on Simple Start.
Am planning on coming back to WW Online in a week or so.
Need to lose 20 lbs and keep it off.
Best advice for a newbie to this new program?

My dad used to be a wine buyer/manager for the wine department at an upscale grocery store in Menlo Park (by Palo Alto) and my great grandfather used to run a winery in St. Helena back in the turn of the century (and prohibition, but that’s all a story for another time!) so we know the wine country pretty well. We’ll have to come check the tasting room out when it opens!
