Happy Hump Day all!  Thanks for all of your motivational comments on my last post!  I was pretty determined to start my day off right back on track and getting all your positive vibes made me even more pumped and ready to go!

I am re-focusing my efforts to try to get the scale to move DOWN beginning this week.  So far, I have been doing a good job of maintaining my weight for the past 4 months ~ boo!  I am taking my measurements, setting an activity goal and focusing on all the little successes I have each day since I know they will lead to bigger results down the road.

So, there you have it….I have been doing a lot of thinking during my rebellious week and I am ready to get down to business.

I had TWO BIG cups of Starbuck’s Decaf Verona before I decided what sounded good for breakfast.

IMG_2275

I decided that I wanted to celebrate the 80 degrees of sunshine today with The Husband’s Sunshine egg, 2 cuties and a Thomas Double Fiber English Muffin sprayed with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray.  (3.5 pts)

IMG_2274

It’s really funny that the day flies by when you work from home.  I never even though about my usual mid-morning snack until almost 5 hours after breakfast ~ awesome! Maybe working in an office all day long makes you want to EAT all day long?!

Lunch was just this amazing sandwich I threw together with what we had in the fridge.

IMG_2278

2 slices TJ’s Fat Free Multi-Grain Bread

2 Tbsp TJ’s Avocado’s Number Guacamole

2 oz each ~ Lean Honey Turkey & Honey Ham

BIG slices of red bell pepper

Spinach

Stacked high!

IMG_2286

Smooshed with layers of fun ~ 5.5 pts.

IMG_2288

I also made a big bowl of spicy Broccoli Slaw topped with spicy peanuts and some more red bell pepper. (2 pts)

IMG_2279

I LOVE using TJ’s LF Spicy Peanut Vinaigrette ~ a little goes a LONG way.

IMG_2283IMG_2285

Pretty good stats, huh?  It’s awesome on salad and on grilled chicken like Chicken Satay 🙂

IMG_2284

The contractor’s finished up their work this afternoon and it’s officially official!  We have a fancy new Trane Central Heat & Air system that we do not have to do ANYTHING to.  It actually knows how to switch from heating to air conditioning automatically and I even heard a rumor you could program it from your phone too….Crazy cool technology.

IMG_2294

During my afternoon break, I caught Hungry-Girl talking about Crave Busters on the Rachael Ray Show and also got to see Jillian/Bob on Dr. Oz!  I whipped up a “crunch-tastic” snack while watching….a BIG pear, Cabot Cheese and Olive Oil/Rosemary Triscuits (4 pts).

IMG_2291

I spent the rest of the afternoon putting our house back together and doing a little cleaning before heading off to my Weight Watcher meeting.  I had pondered asking my leader to not show me my weight until next week, but, in the end I changed my mind. I managed to only gain .4 lbs and I really felt like yesterday’s pizza put me over the top.

I had the usual Two Vasquez Spicy Chicken Tacos for dinner (8.5 pts).

IMG_0189

I also stole 3 chips and cheesy bean dip from The Husband. (2.5 pts)

IMG_0197

I am FINALLY updating my LINK LOVE TAB…..something I haven’t done since I first started blogging.  If you want to be added to my lists of links I love (aka my Blogroll), leave a comment below with your link to get linked up 🙂

I am off to read my latest issue of Cooking Light ~ review coming soon!

Night all!

Great job getting back on track!
I don’t think I commented on your last post, but I have those days also where I just have to eat a little less healthy. In the long run, things tend to even out.
Only a little over a week until the Bay Area Blogger Meet up ! Yay!
And I would be absolutely honored to be on your blogroll, so here is a link to my blog:

I am also focusing on bringing the scale down as it has stayed around the same number for the last six months. I feel like I never really got over the holidays. And I definately think working in an office makes me want to eat all day long. A lot of times (like today) I end up eating all my snacks and lunch before the clock even hits noon!

I definitely think that its easier to eat more in the office. When I am sitting behind my desk all day, it’s only naturally that I keep thinking about food. But when I am out on the road, the thought doesn’t even cross my mind under my actual hunger kicks in.

You are doing so great Danica! Keep up all of your hard work hun.

That Spicy Peanut Viniagrette looks really yummy! My closest Trader Joes is actually about 45 minutes from my house, so I THINK I am going to go there for my birthday to stock up on some goodies. Any suggestions for must-haves (minus meat)?

I’d love to be linked. I actually need update my blogroll big time, so I’m planning on adding you, as well. Here’s my link:

That’s interesting you weren’t hungry until later when working from home. Those days get like that for me too. Although my job is at home, so not always. It’s all about how distracted I am! LOL

OK, now I totally have a craving for tacos! I gave up meat on my b-day and now only have fish, eggs and limited dairy but I don’t care much for fish tacos. Hmmm guess it will have to be a veggie/bean taco.

Would love to get linked up, thanks!

    Hi Danica,

I have enjoyed your blog for a long time now and I had planned to comment without shamelessly plugging my blog! (which is http://takethedayoff.net by the way). I would be honored to be added to your blogroll!

Anyway, what I was going to comment about was your good attitude about letting go a little over the past week and then gently tightening the reins to get yourself back on track. your lighthearted spirit about it and the way you aren’t beating yourself up over a few extras here and there is great.

I too am a HUGE fan of that trader joe’s dressing. It is delicious and I often plan meals around it! You should try their champagne pear vinaigrette if you haven’t already. It is good and the stats aren’t bad at all, even though it isn’t advertised as such.

    Have a great day.

    Hi Sarah,

No worries if your comments a duplicate – I LIKE comments 😀

I am working on a TJ’s favorites list that someday soon I hope to post. I just need time to finish it up LOL…Here are some of my favs for now:

    * their produce and fruit is always cheap and good
    * Greek yogurt – flavored and plain – tj’s brand
    * Organic lowfat vanilla and banana yogurt
    * TJ’s Fat Free Multi-Grain Bread & Pitas
    * Spicy Peanut and Cranberry Walnut Dressing (in the fridge section)
    * I LOVE all their nuts but they are not a must have
    * Peanut Butter Pretzels and the Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzels
    * Pita Puffs – crunchy cracker chips
    * Roasted Red Pepper Spread
    * All of their salsas are awesome
    * Island Soyaki – awesome for marinating tofu
    * TJ’s 3 pack of 72% Dark Chocolate
    * Dark Chocolate Crisps – they look like chocolate pringles
    * Meatless Chicken Patties stuffed with black bean corn salsa

Hopefully that gives you a good start….it’s fun just to walk around and pick out new things that you want to try – plus they are cheap 🙂

I have you on my Link Love List 😀

    Happy Friday!
