Happy Sunday all! I am so excited to tell you all that I lost another 1.2 lbs this week even though I had a less than perfect Simply Filling week. I really did try to focus on “smart & healthy” choices when I was presented with them even if they were not 100% Simply Filling. I think that and making sure I MOVED MORE made all the difference at the scale this week.
It’s total motivation going into this week to save up my WPA so I can enjoy some “treats” on our camping trip. I have been dreaming of S’Mores ever since we first started talking about camping!
During my meeting, I snacked on the fruit my leader brought us….
Along with a banana and coffee. I LOVE her for always having coffee there. I think I should probably donate to her coffee club you know to support my habit the cause
Breakfast Part 2 involved a Venti Iced Non-Fat Decaf Latte (SF) – 3 points+
After running around to pick up a few things for this week’s menu and doing a little yard work, we stopped at The Joy of Eating.
As you all know I have a serious obsession with their BLTA’s ~ I mean, honestly, they are probably the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. I get it like 99% of the time we go there.
I stayed focused on those S’Mores I want this weekend and decided to venture out to pick something that is Simply Filling.
Teriyaki Chicken Salad with Homemade Sesame Miso Dressing on the side! It was so delicious I honestly did not miss having a BLTA and I even turned down a bite of The Husband’s sandwich. Crazy, but, so cool (SF + 2 WPA for the dressing) – 8 points+
This is the watermelon I wait all year for ~ there is a little old man who sells it every year with his daughter at our local markets ~ It’s so sweet, juicy & 100% Simply Filling!
The Husband actually gets credit for tonight’s dinner idea ~ for some random reason he told me on Saturday, it’s been FOREVER since we have had Kabob’s.
So, tonight, I changed that with these amazing BBQ Turkey & Veggie Kabob’s!
We used pretty much every single veggie we bought at the Farmer’s Market except the butternut squash & mushrooms. We tossed the veggies in Emeril’s Original Essence & Olive Oil.
They Turkey Breast was marinated in BBQ Sauce & Jack Daniel’s Steak Sauce with a sprinkle Emeril’s Chicken Rub.
Served up with super sweet corn on the side. I actually started cutting all the corn we buy in half and cooking them separately so it feels like I have more if I want to go back. It also helps me to realize, I actually only “need” half to feel satisfied.
My entire meal is all Simply Filling since the amount of BBQ Sauce = 0 points+. The total points+ for my plate is a total deal ~ 6 points+
I think I might have a snack while watching the show – probably more watermelon & some cheese or yogurt.
STATS (12 am – 830 pm):
- 2,733 calories burned
- 10,490 steps taken
- 2 WPA used, 47 WPA remaining, (it’s crazy but it adds up to 17 daily points+)

I’m watching the second airing of “The Next Food Network Star” and staying off info loops that might spill it. I was rooting for a couple folks that were eliminated before — but in this finale, Marty was my fav (sadface) and then Ivan (sp?).
Also, I loved the post for today! Thanks as always!

WOW the show sure got “glitzy”! I liked all the finalists but I was secretly happy the winner was from Team Alton! He was so vested in helping these folks! There was nothing on TV yesterday so after watching the British Open live, it was a Food Network marathon kinda day…always inspires me to cook more (Which I need instead of always going out to eat!!) OR be hungry all day,,,not good when you’re on WW…good thing it was the start on my WW week so I had lots of extras to use 🙂 Can’t wait to see your new breakfast idea!!!

I was happy that Justin won too! I was rooting for him or Ivan. I wasn’t impressed with the other two promos.

Congrats on your weight loss AGAIN! I think you have lost more weight in your past few weeks of SF than you have the rest of the year combined! It’s working for you girl! Yea! JP’s kabobs look AMAZING! Please send one this way!

Hey Bravo!! on the wt loss, I am REALLY proud of you. Don’t let this camping trip derail all this progress and your SF focus is working!!

Woop on -1.2! I am back on track this week – workout clothes laid out, meals planned, hopefully no wine! (:D) and I hope the scale will show a loss next week.
I totally want Justin to win! I love the Sandwich King, I’ve made about 5 of his sandwiches so far and they have been amazing. ;D

Those Kabobs look delicious! I have started grilling my kabos with everything separate because I always feel like the veggies get done way quicker than everything else. I usually have a skewer with meats and then one for each kind of veggie I like. That way I can have leftovers too! I like to marinate my meat and veggies in Newman’s Own “Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing.” It is really good and only 1 pts + for 2 tablespoons!

I can’t find the Teriyaki Chicken Salad with Homemade Sesame Miso Dressing recipe on your site. Can you provide a link?
