Taco Time!

Happy Wordless Wednesday everyone!  I LOVED today’s Wordless Wednesday ~ My mom took those pictures while they were driving around Colorado this fall.  I couldn’t resist sharing them with you all because that Biker Dog just totally makes me laugh every time I see it.  I think this mornings pictures were probably the only things exciting about today….my eating was sort of random and not planned out at all.

This morning all I could think about was that awesome “fruity” combination I had yesterday.  I honestly think POM Seeds +Blueberries+Banana might be my FAVORITE new thing.

Double Fiber Oro-Wheat English Muffin with 1 Tbsp WHIPPED Butter (5 points+).  I will take the real deal BUTTAH any day when it’s only 2 points+ per tablespoon.

My co-worker brought in these awesome flowers for us so I figured they would make a good prop for my Dirty Latte Open-mouthed smile (Venti, Iced, Nonfat, Decaf Latte with 1 Pump Mocha) (4 points+)

I went to TR2 for some FANTASTIC Mexican food with my friend for lunch.  I LOVE this place because the food is always FRESH and DELICIOUS and the service is AMAZING!

We started off with chips and salsa which I completely inhaled especially when they brought out…..ok…well, I did count to 12 at least :) (4 points+)

I CRAVE their chicken as some of you all might remember when they gave me an idea for how to recreate their “secret" recipe”….I am IN LOVE with their Spicy Shredded Chicken!

I had 2 Chicken Tacos for 10 Points+ and didn’t need my beans/rice.  I decided it wasn’t worth spending the points+ when my belly and taste buds were content.

We decided to head over to our friends house tonight for dinner where they were serving…..drum roll please…….TACOS!

Good thing Tacos are quite possibly my FAVORITE type of Mexican food aside from quesadillas and chips/salsa.

Don’t worry, I didn’t have them bust our their measuring cups….I used m y best to visualize a 1/4 cup of taco meat, 1 Tbsp each of shredded cheese with lettuce and tomatoes.

Two Beef Tacos = 8 points+

I am totally the person who steals all the fruit at the table now too since it is 0 points+!  I piled on the fresh pineapple for “dessert”

Sometimes I LOVE my job…..I am volunteering at the Food Bank tomorrow afternoon ~ so excited!

This week’s Friends for Weight Loss Success Story really touched my heart. Norma is one amazing woman and her Daughter shares how proud she is of Norma’s 100 lb loss ~ amazing!

What is your FAVORITE type of taco to have?

My favorite type of “meat” taco is by far shredded chicken tacos.  VEGAN ~ I definitely think Spicy Sweet Potato/Black Bean tacos win me over every time!

    I love tacos too! In fact, my honey took me out to lunch yesterday to our favorite local Mexican restaurant. I normally get fajitas, but yesterday I got the tacos and they were delish! I have one chicken and one beef 🙂

    I love tacos also, get them at Baja Fresh. Next time I make them, I’m going to try that “magical mystery meat” in the Morning Star scrambles with taco seasoning! Yum.

    I am smitten for fish tacos…not the fried fish kind, but the ones that have broiled fish in them with that yummy creamy chipolte sauce on them…yummmmmmy!

    I’m having a Mexican frenzy right now myself! I had made some deelish wild rice the other day & decided it would make a nice taco stuffing along w/ grilled chicken, salsa, fat free cheese, & shredded coleslaw blend in a 1 pt+ Mission whole wheat soft taco (3 p+ for 2, 4p+ for 4) – so my total for *3* tacos came to only 6 or 7 p+!!! What a delicious & filling dinner. I even had points left for Ferrero Rocher chocolates!

    The next morning, I made an omelet w/ cheese & shredded carrots, topped it w/ salsa & stuffed it in another soft taco shell. YUM! Mexi-breakfast.

    OMG Totally depends where I am going for tacos if it’s up in Ventura at Spencer Makenize than its grilled shrimp tacos….if its the mexican market here than shredded chicken…but hands down if it’s from Carrolles in the San Fernado Valley its..carnitas…they make the tortillas handmade!!!
