We woke up this morning to Thunder and Lightening. How crazy is that considering yesterday was over 100 degrees and blazing hot. It was so cool when we looked outside to see it raining. I was so excited that fall is almost here. I LOVE this time of year!
I LOST ANOTHER POUND too ~ Yahoo! :D That brings my total to 3.2 lbs down which isn’t bad considering I didn’t feel like my eating was spot on the way it should be for week 3. It’s down and I am glad that I am heading in the right direction!
This morning, I headed went to my Weight Watcher meeting and then to the Farmer’s Market. I didn’t pick up too much stuff because I want to use up what we have in the house before we head to Lake Tahoe next weekend. Here are the few things I couldn’t resist.
Organic Strawberries!
Organic Grapes!
Nectarines and an O’Henry Peach (they said this variety has the best flavor – can’t wait to find out).
When I got back from the market, I heated up a BIG Holey Donuts Cinnamon Roll for The Husband. I was tempted to have one too but I refrained since I knew I wanted a Wafflewich! Looks SO GOOD though!
I made up a Kashi Blueberry Almond Butter Apricot Wafflewich & had it with a grande FF decaf Latte. It was the PERFECT breakfast for our fall weather we are having.
Almond Butter, Apricot Goodness!
I had TWO servings like this of my Organic Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta that I made today ~ IT ROCKED MY WORLD! I think it will be a fantastic salad topper as well…MMMM!
I snacked on a few pieces of watermelon as I cut it up. The lady told me it was seedless, but, it’s not. I wonder if I remember HOW to eat a watermelon with seeds ~ spoiled! 🙂
Since it was my FREE DAY, I had to break out the latest Trader Joe’s "PB&J Bar” that I picked up the other day. I cut it into bite size pieces and prepared to enjoy it all.
The VERDICT: To me – it’s nasty – shockingly. It had such potential in THAT descriptions, but, it feels like chunky crisco with jelly fruit in it. I had 2 pieces before I decided it wasn’t good and put the rest away. If you can’t find this bar, don’t worry – you are not missing out and it’s so NOT WORTH the calories.
This afternoon I worked on my site a little bit adding my “about page” (ok, I need to create a REAL about page, but, at least this is something) and then populating my Tag Cloud.
I tagged and tagged away all afternoon before I got thirsty and stopped for a “juice” break. I shared this with The Husband along with a few…..
BBQ Pop Chips! LOVE them, but, I managed to keep it to 2 small handfuls ~ 1 serving.
I didn’t feel like cooking at all tonight so we had the rest of the Leftover Super E-Z Chicken Tortilla Soup. I used regular organic tortilla chips this time versus making my own.
I LOVE how chunky it is and I decided to add a little color with some homemade fresh salsa. ~ DELISH!
The other thing I was really set on for my FREE DAY was having some REAL Ice Cream. They had Haagen Dazs on sale (yahoo!) so The Husband got the Caramel Cone on the left and I got the % Ingredient NATURAL Vanilla Bean on the right.
For being lower in fat than their regular version, this ice cream rocks! You cannot even tell and it’s so rich/creamy I couldn’t eat a bunch of it. SHOCKER because ice cream is something I do not have a problem eating a bunch of. I ate about 1/5th of the container plus a bite of The Husband’s and put it away for another FREE DAY.
I still have some Tagging to finish up (about 1/2 way sadly), but, I hope to have everything Tagged this weekend. So glad I only have to go through ALL 629 posts one time!
I am so ready to get back to good eats tomorrow. Today was a good break, but, my stomach is definitely telling me I ate some junkiness today.
QUESTIONS:
What is your favorite fruit in the summer? I think it’s hard to pick one, but, I LOVE watermelon!
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Mine is Vanilla Bean or anything with caramel! Although I think any ice cream works for me. 🙂

I am so glad you told me that PBJ bar was nasty! As soon as I saw it on the screen, I thought it looked AMAZING and told myself that I was definitely getting that on my next trip no matter how many calories it was! But, then you said NASTY!!
