The Backup Plan

May 8, 2019 by DanicasDaily Leave a Comment

Hi all! Thank you all for the nice and funny comments on yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday. It was so fun to read them all day and he is totally a clown. While today was crazy busy and didn’t go as planned, it actually turned out to be a pretty good day.  I was up early to check off my workout with 40 minutes on the treadmill. I was starving when I was finished but kept to a zero point breakfast.

2 scrambled eggs with super sweet berries.I did grab a tall nonfat cappuccino on my drive in. (2 sp)We had a fancy work lunch today and I have to be honest. I cannot remember the name of the place but it was at a country club.

We picked brussel sprouts as a starter. I could’ve devoured this entire plate not sharing! But, I refrained and just sampled it. Sweet, salty, crunchy and amazing! (3 sp)Next up we had this Chipotle Tomato Bisque that was rich and spicy with fun crunchy onions on top. (5 sp)Plus a slice of hot sourdough (2 sp)…. I could’ve eaten all this bread too!I know I should’ve ordered a salad but today I really wanted the shrimp pasta.

Shrimp, garlic, basil, tomatoes, lemon, arugula.

I feel proud I only ate half as my mouth said eat it all. (8 sp)The Husband actually put in this dinner request this morning. I love it when I know the plan for the day except when it doesn’t go as planned.

I had 2 slices of this kalamata olive bread dipped in balsamic and olive oil. (4 sp)We were all set to grill when the BBQ ran out of gas. I learned tonight nobody will refill your tank after dark.

After pouting for a bit, I got over myself and went with our backup plan – pan frying our pork chops. They actually were still delicious even if I missed the ‘grilled’ taste.

I used my farmers market finds to mix up a salad to go with our chops. (6 sp)30 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 16K steps
