The Great Title Debate

April 9, 2014 by DanicasDaily 8 Comments

Happy Wednesday all!  Every night when I sit down to post as I put my pictures together and tell The Husband about my day, I ask him, So….what do you think my post title should be tonight?  Sometimes he is super clever with something like “I feel like chicken tonight!” or “Celery is not the new kale or is it?!”, while other times he gives me a complete sentence that is like a paragraph.  I’ll chime in with one word titles like “Saucy!” because the chicken we had was saucy which he totally does not get and proceeds to make funny statements using “Saucy!”  It’s pretty entertaining listening to what we come up with and even funnier that we usually do not like any of the titles each other provides LOL.  In the end, if I have not thought all day about what my title is going to be, I usually end up with a combined title based on our “team” brainstorm.

This morning started with my usual Healthy Egg Roll.  For those wondering, I roll it up just like this almost every morning to eat it.  This allows the sriracha to get all over each bite.

I stopped for my grande iced nonfat latte with caramel drizzled on top on my way into work.  Today I also couldn’t resist waiting to eat my two Low-Fat Banana Bread Cookies

I couldn’t really pick the “I like chicken tonight” post for dinner because I liked chicken all day long.  My co-worker and I headed over to Grace’s Table for lunch just to have their perfectly grilled chicken.

I even ventured out to get a different salad than my usual beet salad.  This is their Organic Greens Salad topped with fennel (nasty black licorice – picked it out), radishes which I didn’t mind, tomatoes, a sprinkle of toasted almonds and fromage blanc topped with Meyer Lemon Olive Oil and White Balsamic.  This totally hit the spot and I made sure to use a few slices of the sour dough they served to soak up all my dressing.  Sometimes you just have to do it…..

Even though we pretty much BBQ all year long, I felt like tonight’s “Saucy!” BBQ Chicken was the official kick off of our BBQ Season.

Topped with The Husband’s “Secret Sauce” of course.  He still isn’t giving up his recipe yet Winking smile

I have been craving this Creamy Dill Macaroni salad for a few days.  I needed a side for the chicken so I decided to make it with what I had on hand.

I did not have any celery or parsley so I subbed out Kale because it’s sort of like combining the two, right? Ha!  Well, I did add a little celery seed too but I think I should’ve used celery salt.

The verdict ~ while I loved the kale, I missed the celery. (SF) – 4 points+

Served up with a bunch of Rainbow Swiss Chard.  I think I am going to try to grow swiss chard in our garden this year because we both love it so much.

I make these cookies and (minus the kisses) they are 100% SF! http://georgiatryingsomethingnew.blogspot.ca/2013/09/first-night-of-harvest-and-cookie-kisses.html
Sidenote: Every time I see you post something with BBQ sauce, I quickly scroll down to see if just *maybe* the recipe is included this time. 😉
