Happy Tuesday all! I am so excited so many of you jumped on board to my “Challenge” yesterday. I look forward to reading your daily successes each day on meeting your 10,000 step count goals ~ even the overachievers at 15,000 steps already! Game on….I haven’t actually put any thought into how we could track this other than commenting each day. So if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, I am more than happy to run with that.
Do you ever wonder some mornings what you were thinking when you set your alarm last night? That was pretty much me….for some reason I thought last night it would be a good idea to set my alarm to wake up an hour later than I usually do. Maybe that’s the first sign I am getting old and forgetful or maybe, just maybe, my brain inadvertently played an April Fools on me lol.
I still managed to get The Husband set with breakfast, lunch and out the door on time…And, I made sure I stopped at Starbucks for me ~ priorities!
Breakfast involved a grande nonfat latte with caramel drizzled on top + a banana (SF) – 3 points+
With a midmorning snack of a light string cheese. (SF) – 1 points+
Here is where I get even more ridiculous. My co-workers let me know Meatless March is over (you know, in case I might have forgotten …..We decided burgers were in order to celebrate the occasion….
Wait for it…….Think I got a burger????
After scanning the menu at Gott’s Roadside Grill (where I LOVE the Ahi Tuna Sandwich), I went with Soup and Salad….staying meatless!
I promise it actually what sounded good to me ~ Spicy Tomato Chipotle Soup (SF) – 3 points+
Served up with this gigantic Kale, Radicchio, Butter leaf Salad tossed in balsamic vinegar, olive oil with croutons and parmesan. This salad was amazing! So amazing, I didn’t have burger envy.
It was also totally huge and I did not even come close to finishing it. (SF + 3 WPA) – 5 points+
We also had a side of Sweet Potato Fries for sharing that I am pretty sure I ate way too many.
(SF + 5 WPA) – 5 points+
I did snack on a few pretzel thins and hummus late afternoon that went unpictured. (SF + 2 WPA) – 4 points+.
As I walked in the door at 8 pm, not only did he have dinner on the table, he barbecued it in the rain. I didn’t even ask him to cook.
Salad topped with Trader Joe’s FF Balsamic (SF)
Individual Asparagus & mushroom foil packs ~ he counted out 7 asparagus each, blanched them, then, put them in foil with garlic salt, black pepper and a little butter. (SF + 1 WPA) – 1 points+
Meatless March officially ended with this ~ Simple, grilled pork chops seasoned with sea salt, black pepper and grilled for 9 minutes on each side. (SF) – 5 points+
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Did I mention one chop for me and 3 for him LOL.
All of my pictures from lunch on were taken with my phone as my camera chip was full today. I am seriously challenged trying to figure out how to save my iPhone pictures on my computer so I emailed them so I could post.
STATS:
- Simple Filling (SF): 11 WPA (Weekly Points Allowance) used, 16 WPA remaining
- 27 Daily Points+ 0 WPA used, 49 WPA remaining
- Fun fact ~ all the steps I racked up today were 100% at my desk job running back and forth at the office. It was an incredibly busy and long day.
- 425 pushups down, 325 to go (with a makeup 75)
- My FitBit Dashboard :
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Did you play any April Fools today?
Off to “fix” my alarm clock and catch some zzz’s.
Night all!
Thank you so much for all of your posts. I have never written but have been following you a while. I have lost 156 lbs with weight watchers and am learning the balance required for maintenence. I love my fit bit, which I learned about by following you. It gives me a way of tracking progress towards my fitness goals that have now replaced 2 1/2 years of weight loss goals. You are an inspiration! Keep it up!
Go Krista!
Just attach your iphone to your computer with your charger cable (without the plug) and the usb side in the computer. You can download it to wherever you keep your pictures…PC or Mac….it will be like any picture from a sd card or from your camera…
I’m so excited I had to share! Not only did I break 10K with my Flex yesterday, but I broke 11K!! First time ever!!
