Happy Friday Eve all! I have pretty much decided that I want to go to all of your houses this year and have cookies with you. I loved reading all the holiday traditions and things you bake this time of year and definitely got a few new ideas of things I “need” to make. Thanks for sharing!
I was starving while I was getting ready, but, didn’t really have time to sit down for breakfast. So, I did what any classy girl does ~ I snacked on a Morning Star Hot & Spicy sausage carrying it around the house with my coffee while I got ready, then, packed up my breakfast to take with me. (SF) – 2 points+
This breakfast totally hit the spot and kept me full for 5 hours. 1 cup FAGE 0% Greek Yogurt topped with 1 Tbsp blackberry preserves and 2 Tbsp Nature Box (SF + 2 WPA) – 5 points+
Today I went to lunch with my boss at Tarla Mediterranean Grill. I think it’s awesome that he is a foodie too so he was up for the adventure of trying some place new. They serve Greek & Turkish Fusion Cuisine.
I was actually a little shy telling him about my site, but, once the news was out, I was free to snap away They have fantastic “heated” outdoor seating and indoor seating too.
I totally love the water cups that double as vases too or maybe it’s the other way around.
One of my favorite parts of the meal was this yeasty soft bread that they serve with Olive Oil that has actual olives in it ~ delish. (SF+ 3 WPA) – 3 points+
We both ordered the Chicken Kabob Lunch Plate because it came with a little of everything I wanted to try.
The dressing on this salad is a tasty vinaigrette that also has olives in it! (SF) – 2 points+
The soup of the day was roasted tomato soup with stinky cheese, but, I actually liked the feta. The saltiness of the cheese paired well with the smoky tomatoes. (SF) – 3 points+
Now….this rice, I could probably eat bowls and bowls full of it. Not only is it in a cute little mound, but, it is layered with olive oil, butter and chick peas and it literally melts in your mouth.
Luckily it’s a small portion. (SF + 4 WPA) – 4 points+
The chicken kabob has a nice smoky flavor (SF) – 4 points+
Dessert involved a few Trader Joe’s Salty Yogurt Covered Almonds (SF + 2 WPA) – 2 points+

All day long I was dreaming about these homemade sea salted chips…..
The SECRET INGREDIENT that makes THESE HEALTHY NACHOS awesome is BAKED Extra Thin Mission Tortilla Chips topped with sea salt.
Then again, I am forever IN LOVE with these Healthy Nachos with all the fixin’s! I mean, how could you not fall in love with crunchy, salty, cheesy chips that make you lick your finger with every bite.
Layered up with 1/2 cup Turkey Taco Meat, 1 oz low-fat sharp cheddar, tomatoes, green onion, pickled jalapenos, lettuce and hot sauce (SF+4 WPA) – 9 points+.
Overall, I think today actually ended up being more of a points+ day, than, a Simply Filling day, but, I am OK with that. I definitely need to get my run on tomorrow so I can enjoy all the delicious food at our Holiday Party ~ I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

I never thought to add preserves to yogurt – love it! And healthy nachos are always a great idea. However, its hit or miss if I can find the extra thin tortillas, but I always stock up when I find them. 😀

Hi Danica,
When you baked the chips do you cut them first? If so is it 4 chips per tortilla?
Thanks
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Yes, I cut my tortillas in half, then, cut each half into 4 pieces. I spray with nonstick spray, sprinkle with salt and bake for 7-8 minutes or until they are browned a little and crunchy.
Enjoy!
Danica
