We all have our “Moments”

February 9, 2010 by DanicasDaily 9 Comments

HOLY DRAMA QUEEN!!! Ok, sorry all, but, indulge me for a few sentences about The Bachelor last night.  Seriously, does Ali not realize she was on National TV looking like a total clown?!? I would feel like a total “wienie” after having 12.3 million people watch me pretend to be sad like that.  I liked her in the beginning but I really feel like she is just playing games and wanted him to come begging her/telling her to stay even though she had already made her decision.  Plus, Marketing Account Manager jobs are everywhere especially with all the publicity she is getting on the show.  If she wouldn’t stay on the show for him, then, would she really move to Texas?  I am glad to see her go, but, I am sure in Bachelor style she won’t stay away *sigh*  I think that I am not sure who I want for him now…..He didn’t click with Gia’s family, maybe Tenley (if she can get over her divorce) but Vienna is fun for the controversy ~ it’s the whole good girl vs bad girl thing….ok, done 😀

I hopped out of bed bright and early this morning to get in a quick 3.2 mile run/walk in on the treadmill since it was pouring rain outside.  Why is it that I can go like a 1/2 mile outside before I even think to look at how far I’ve gone, but, put me on the treadmill and I look after I’ve gone ohhh like .10 of a mile LOL.  It felt great to get it checked off my list.

I was rushing out the door this morning, so I whipped up a quick Egg Sandwich to go.  2 slices TJ’s plus a “fried in nonstick spray egg”.  I forgot my hot sauce, but, it was still delish! (4 pts)

IMG_9168

I am sorta on a bit of a Dirty Latte Kick ~ notice?? I had a grande for 3 pts since I had to pick a Starbuck’s up for The Husband (I forgot to make coffee ~ oops!)

IMG_8846

I have been wanting to try this Honest Foods Apple Ginger bar ever since I had and LOVED the Cran Lemon Zest Bar.

IMG_9170

4 pts just like the other bar, but, I feel like these bars are worth it and well 1/2 is just too small!

IMG_9171

I have to admit I LOVED seeing the huge chunks of nuts and apples in it, but, thought it was eh, ok.  It’s not bad, but, I think I LOVE the others I’ve tried better.

IMG_9172

Work has been completely insane this week but I managed to slip out at lunch to run a few errands.  I couldn’t resist this Rainbow Roll at the store when I was there.  I am trying to eat more RAW fish to see if I can make a go at Sashimi with no rice (not sure I can).  I doused it in Sriracha sauce….

IMG_9176

Then, found it it interesting that is was basically a California Roll topped with Salmon, Shrimp and Ahi Tuna.  It was delish with the cucumber crunch and avocado creaminess.  Dipped in soy sauce with spice, I actually LOVED the fish ~ surprise! (5.5 pts for 9 pieces).

IMG_9177

I caved a little this afternoon with a bit of stress eating, but, I tried to keep it in check.  I had a little ChocoLOVE Dark Chocolate with Cherries & Almonds (4 squares for 2 pts).

IMG_9173

Then, maybe a Senorita or two appeared without being pictured.  They are totally like crack ~ I need to remember to walk the other way whenever I see them.  I had a few BBQ PopChips for 1 pt  to get the taste out of my mouth (total justification, right?!) I am laughing at my silliness as I type, but, what I can say….we all have our moments, right?

IMG_9178

Since we both had to work late, I went for something fast and simple that included everything I was craving.

Green Giant Green Beans with toasted almond slivers (1 pt) – LOVE these!

IMG_9182

A 3 point low-fat Poblano Pepper Mexican Cheese Chicken Sausage.

IMG_9183

Plus the BEST Mac n Cheese EVER!!!  Annie’s Shells and White Cheddar….so the reason I LOVE the shells more than any other is because they make little creamy cheese buckets!  So good 1 c for 5 pts.

IMG_9180

All together I had dinner ready in like 15 minutes flat, maybe less ~ Awesome!

IMG_9179

I can say probably not one of my healthiest and balanced days, but, you know, I am ok with it.  It’s a BRAND new week tomorrow and a NEW day to succeed.  New weeks are my favorite – there is just something about feeling like you can wipe the slate clean and start over.  I am ready for my do-over 😉

It’s almost Biggest Loser time ~ woohoo! I totally earned tonight’s show.  I am hoping to get a little reading in to finish The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl this week too.  I am currently addicted to listening to her Two Fit Chics and a Microphone Podcasts too.

Night all!

Heya! You got me hooked on the bachelor mid-way with all of your bchelor talk LOL. I kinda got the feeling that the whole thing with Ali is a stunt pulled by the producers. She was totally whiney and annoying and I really wouldn’t feel sorry for her no matter what. Come on – she can’t possibly “love” this guy.

So your day looked very yummy to me!

I had my sister look for those sausages at Sams and she didn’t see them in Indiana. Oh well! They sure do look good.

    Hi Melissa,

Ok, I may sound lame, but, what is Hulu? I may have to check it out….I suppose I could stop being lazy and just google it 😉

You know I haven’t actually bought any of the Honest Foods Bars I’ve tried. I received a couple from one of my friends to try who LOVES them and then they did a product swap at work. Since my small stash is running out, I need to go on a quest to find them. My guess is that they will probably be at Whole Foods since I haven’t seen them at TJ’s or the grocery store. I’ll be sure to let you know when I find them.

Ohhhh – I should add them or a variety pack to my Open Sky shop – that would be awesome! Thanks for the idea 😀

    Hi Lauryn,

OMG ~ I totlaly agree with you over Ali….I am so dying to know how it all turns out in the end and then of course after the end 😀 I am easily entertained I guess LOL.

As far as sushi ~ you know alot of people will tell you to start basic with a California Roll or the Shrimp Tempura Type Roll. I think those are ok, but, the big benefit in sushi comes in having fish versus fried stuff. I LOVE anything spicy so my first inclination is to go for a Spicy Tuna Roll. AVOCADO makes any roll AMAZING and so does cucumber for crunch. I LOVE adding those two to any roll if they don’t have them. I highly recommend going to a restaraunt for it (your hubby can get teriyaki beef or chicken or something if he doesn’t do sushi). The quality is so much better. I LOVE dipping in a little soy sauce and wasabi in optional. I think that I LOVE sushi over cooked fish because it tastes less fishy. Dragon or Zig Zag rolls can be aweomse too.

I wish you were over here because I’d totally go to sushi with you to try things out 😀 Does any of that help? maybe if you have a menu of a place you are going you can share and I’d tell you what I’d LOVE to try.

So proud you are venturing out 😀

OH my god I just caught up with the Bachelor on Hulu last night and I am WITH you through and through. Ali used to be one of my favorites, but she just got too catty and that stint she pulled with having to pick between her job and Jake…seriously??? I bet she’ll be back. I wish that Jake would end up with Gia because she just seems like the sweetest girl who deserves the best…but I feel like Jake had the most chemistry with Ali. The other girls…I just don’t know. I can’t see Jake with Vienna, and Tenley still needs to recover from her divorce. OH MAN, the drama keeps getting better.

OH food! Hahah YES as usual, everything looks great, particularly the eggy breakfast. I hate washing the frying pan so usually end up eggless in the mornings. I gotta get on this…seeing your picture is making me crave some now!
