Happy Monday everyone! Thank you all SO MUCH for all of your comments on my last post. You all definitely had me feeling the Weight Watchers LOVE and I now have so many great new recipes/menu ideas to try! It’s just another reason I cannot wait to get the Weight Watchers Support Group site up. It should be going LIVE any day now.
I actually used every single point today all in 3 square meals, no snacks. It’s so interesting to me because I am definitely a “snacker”. Maybe my Points Plus choices indirectly make me pick filling foods that last. Then again, when you have delicious food like these pancakes, there really isn’t a need to snack!
OATMEAL PROTEIN PANCAKES
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
1/3 cup uncooked oatmeal (quick cooking or old fashioned)
1 egg
1 egg white
1 Tbsp ground flax seed
2 tsp Agave (could use maple flakes, sucanat or brown sugar, etc)
1/4 tsp vanilla or coconut extract (sometimes I use both)
Dashes of cinnamon & salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Blend everything together until smooth and creamy. I use my Magic Bullet and it only takes seconds.
2. Cook on a skillet over medium heat (use ns cooking spray or 1 tsp oil) on both sides until browned (about 5 minutes total).
3. Serve up with your favorite toppings – pure maple syrup, whipped butter, fruit, almond butter, etc – the options are endless.
Makes 2 medium pancakes or 1 super huge pancake for 8 points+
Nutritional information for the entire recipe excluding toppings, 8 points+
My pancake held me over from 5 hours ~ PROTEIN POWER!
I was really undecided about lunch, but, since I am really trying to not catch a cold, my favorite mixed soups from Whole Foods won.
I have to admit, when it comes to soup, bread is a must.
This is a HUGE loaf, so I only had half for 5 points+ (worth it for the REAL DEAL)…
Especially when you can have it with a whole pat of butter! (3 points+)
I can NEVER decide which soup to get because they give you 15 different kinds to choose from. Why pick one, when you can have TWO ~ 1/2 Chicken Noodle with Stars & 1/2 Minestrone. I had 1/2 this cup for 3 points+
I let The Husband pick dinner from our Weekly Menu and he picked this ~ surprised?! lol
This is by far The Husband’s FAVORITE pre- marinated meat. I LOVE it because it cooks in 15 minutes and is delicious!
Oh and 4 oz = 5 points+!
I prepped all the “fixin’s” while this was on the grill.
Super simple Carne Asada Steak Salad (10 points+)
3 cups organic romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup organic cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 AVOCADO, chopped!!!
1/2 oz Pepper Jack Cheese, grated
4 oz Carne Asada
2 Tbsp organic green onions, chopped
Plus a few Trader Joe’s Veggie & Flax Tortilla Chips for crunch!
The DRESSING! I LOVE Frontera products and I have been waiting for a chance to make this ever since Amanda of Eating Up sent it to me as part of our cookie exchange.
It’s AWESOME! Smoky with a little heat and nope, you don’t taste the pumpkin at all. I am totally using this salsa in a breakfast burrito!
Deliciousness!
Can you believe I actually didn’t eat a banana today?! I brought one, but, was never hungry for a snack. So cool!

#2 I cannot wait for the BIGGEST LOSER FINALE tomorrow night! Who are you rooting for? I have to say this is the first season I don’t have a favorite. I think I am going to take the route of GIRL POWER and root for ADA
Night all!
Elina (Healthy and Sane) says
Hehe, I have also been eating bananas every day. Sounds like you’re pretty good at getting in touch with your hunger cues. I’d probably still have one because I could. 🙂
Amanda (Eating Up) says
Aw yay I’m glad you liked the salsa! That salad looks SO good. I haven’t had a steak salad in ages…
suzanne says
I’ll have some ideas later but right now i’m off to bed 🙂
Lauren says
That salsa sounds incredible!! Gosh, I’ll be thinking about this all day now. 🙂

Your pancakes look delicious – I’ll have to give that a try. Ada’s definitely my favorite. I can relate with a lot of what she’s been through – I can’t wait to see what she looks like without all of her weight!
Kimberly B. says
I so want Ada to win – she’s a rockstar! One interesting thing I’m seeing with Points+ is that I don’t really need as many low point options. It seems the days are gone where I desperately need something to fit in a 2 point spot. My new low point seems to be like 5 points or something.

Can’t wait for the new site to be finished! Love the category list! Great ideas!
Carbzilla says
I will start stockpiling all my ideas in a folder. Unfortunately I lost a ton of WW when my last hard drive crashed but I do have some stuff printed that I can re-enter and re-figure points for.
Your day’s eats look amazing!
SusieBee says
I’m rooting for Ada too-she has alot to overcome with the parent issues.
Roz says
Love the category list of the support site!!!
And LOVE Whole Foods soups!!! Have a great day!

Those pancakes look amazing!
There’s a great website called skinnytaste.com, she has WW recipes, check out the way she categorized them. I like how she has lunch recipes etc..
So glad I stumbled upon your site too, this is great!
Lisa says
I am sooo hoping ADA wins! She is one tough cookie. She puts 100% into everything; plus with her parental issues (how so cruel are they??). Love this website! Haven’t officially started the new program, but will soon & everyone’s comments are defintely helping! Thanks!! 🙂

I make my breakfasts and lunches at the office. I have a small refrigerator, a microwave and a toaster. Here’s my favorite low-point breakfast: Toasted 100-calorie English Muffin, 1/4 cup egg white substitute, 1 wedge Laughing Cow Swiss wedge. Put little pieces of the cheese into the egg whites and microwave for 1 minute. Spread on the muffin halves (makes it feel like you’re eating two sandwiches!) Delicious. Total PointsPlus: 5.
GO ADA!

Hi. I’m new to your site and am anxious to participate when you get the Weight Watchers Support Group set up. 🙂 I’m a Lifetime WW member who has relapsed. I’ve lost half the weight I needed to over the last year and still have another 30+ to go. The new Points+ program is (after less than a week) wonderful, and am anxious to share recipes and tips once I get my bearings.
Jeanette says
So happy to have found your site! I’m a Lifetime WW member but have gained back about 15 pounds. I lost 2.5 lbs using the new points plus program, so I’m really excited to get back on the program. It feels new again like it did when I first started and I think that will keep me engaged.
My favorite thing is Tajin fruit seasoning. It is amazing on almost any kind of fruit. It consists of ground chili peppers, salt and dehydrated lime juice. I buy it at HEB Grocery but I think you can find it at WalMart as well. I also found it listed on Amazon.com. It’s like a flavor explosion in your mouth with every bite of fruit. It’s amazing on pineapple, apples and oranges. You are so creative with your recipes, maybe you can add it to your repertoire!

Those pancakes look delicious!!! And I LOVE Whole Foods! 🙂
Danica – I have been trying to send you a comment through your comments page, but it won’t work. It just keeps saying “Sending…..sending……” I have tried on 2 different computers. Is there an email address I can use to contact you?
Tanya says
ADA ALL THE WAY! I don’t see the finale listed for this week though…tonight is the marathon…perhaps I’m missing something…
GiGi says
Love creative pancakes!!! Check out my blog post today for my pancake recipe that I eat on a daily basis!! 🙂

I love P2B powdered peanut butter…Just add water. 1 points+ for 2 tablespoons and it’s so fresh and peanutty! Not like processed peanut butter. I put it on celery (great one point snack), I sprinkle it on my sugar free/fat free pudding and I plan to use it to make peanut butter eggs for Easter! Great 1 points snack.
