What are your FAQ’s for me?

April 26, 2011 by DanicasDaily 12 Comments

This morning started off with an EGG-WICH.  I honestly CRAVE these sandwiches and think I NEED to have them in my life at least once a week (6 points+)

IMG_0292

In an effort to TRY NEW THINGS, I bought this red Caribbean Papaya.  It is super sweet and I couldn’t figure out why I LOVED papaya on THIS SALAD, but, I didn’t love it straight up.

TJ told me she LOVES squeezing lemon on papaya.  so I figured why not try it…Ok, well, I already had a zested lime in the fridge – it’s citrus so it all counts the same, right?

Sprinkle with lime and course sea salt ~ delicious! The salt and citrus really cut the sweetness….try it and you may just start liking papaya like me Smile

I found out this morning at my eye appointment that at 6 months after my Lasik my eyes read like this:

* Left Eye ~ 20/15 (The Husband calls it my bionic eye lol)

* Right Eye ~ 20/25

But, somehow together they equal 20/20 and I can see everything with no blurs.  I have to say January and February had me a little worried that I might have to have Lasik Enhancements because my vision wasn’t taking on.

3 more months to go and I should be ALL CLEAR….It’s pretty cool!

For my drive back into town, I got a Venti Iced Dirty Latte (4 points+)

IMG_0344

I am not sure why I bought these for The Husband…maybe because they were half off, maybe because they are mini and maybe because I LOVE them!

IMG_0345

I could give or take a regular Reeses PB Cup, but, the chocolate to PB ratio on their eggs get me every time.  I LOVE that they have mini eggs that are only 2 points+ each.

IMG_0346

They are not as big, but, they are just the right amount.

IMG_0347

Even though I KNEW the points+ Value, I totally used WW ScanCalc to check it out Open-mouthed smile

IMG_0349

What I didn’t realize until today though it the little +/- on the right.  Did you know that counts as servings?!  I added +1 and it doubles the values/points for more than one serving.

I just say each your two eggs at different times and count them as one serving each for 4 points+…..totally kidding, but, it’s cool that ScanCalc does that!!!

IMG_0350

The Husband knew that today was insanely busy and decided it would be nice to have lunch together.  I told him I could make something, but, he said he wanted to “make” something….Quiznos LOL.

I cannot believe how high the points+ values of sandwiches are on their menu.  I picked the lowest one I could find and although it doesn’t look pretty, it was tasty.

Honey Bourbon Chicken, no cheese and double veggies on Chipotle Jack (8 Points+)

IMG_0351

All of their side salads were over 4 points+ so I figured, I opted for Baked Lays instead (3 points+)

IMG_0355

Mid-afternoon snackage ~ Banana plus light string cheese (1 points+)

After work we headed out to watch the Nephew’s Baseball game.  Can I just say, I LOVE watching 5 year olds play ~ so cute.  I took some of Tracey’s Trail Mix that she made because I knew I’d get hungry.

This snack mix is AWESOME!

IMG_0321

1/2 cup = 3 points+ and includes:

Trader Joe’s Ohhhh’s

Dried Mango Slices

Dried Cherries

Pistachios

Crunchy Coconut Chips

The games were over at 8 PM and I didn’t hesitate agreeing with The Husband when he said Chipotle for dinner.

IMG_8949

I got the usual mix:

* Lettuce (0)

* Chicken (5)

* Pico de Gallo (0)

* Corn Salsa (1)

* A little cheese (less than a serving) (2)

* GUACAMOLE! (4)

    Eggs are a huge staple in my weekly meals, I love them! I had a Danica breakfast this morning: hardboiled eggs and a banana, loved it 🙂

    I love that you love Reese’s Eggs – I was just talking about these in my Weight Watchers meeting last night and said your exact words: “The Chocolate to Peanut Butter Ratio in the Holiday Reese’s treats is so much better!!” – I had one big egg but did make it last for 13 bites…I savored that sucker but it was OH SO GOOD!

    OK, here’s mine: What’s a Dirty Latte? And is that your own name for it, or can I just walk in and order that at Starbucks? Do I have to tell them I know you? LOL!! 😉

    And I wanted to say THANK YOU for mentioning the Driod apps the other day. I love that scanner. I haven’t been out anywhere since I downloaded it (sick and sick kiddo) but I have been playing with it here at home!

    I love Reese’s peanut butter eggs. I actually did have a couple of big ones this year (and counted the points!). I bought them singly as I can’t have a 6 pack or bag of minis lying around. i would eat them all in no time no matter how sick it made me!

    One egg is 2 points, 2 eggs are 5??? OK…I’m no math whiz, but huh??? 🙂
    Papaya and lime is delicious, but I’ve never sprinkled salt on there too. sounds yummy!
    Have a great day Danica!

    I’m so glad you were talking about the perfect ratio of PB to chocolate. I feel that way about the Reese Mini’s that just came out. They are so amazing. The PB consistancy even seems a little more smooth. Of course they are horrible for points…so I stuck to two miniatures instead. 🙁 Not as good…but it did the job!!!

    Hi Amy,

    It depends on the Starbuck’s – some know what it is and some do not. Basically it’s a nonfat latte, hot or cold, with 1-2 pumps mocha syrup. You save on calories/points+ by only adding 1-2 pumps and you get all the chocolately flavor.

    Hi Roz,

    It happens sometimes when you double the servings – the points+ will more than double 🙁 That’s why I say have them at separate times and it’s still one serving each time LOL.
