Happy Tuesday all! I think the consensus on the BEST PUB GRUB is nachos and anything fried. I actually think I have to agree with Nachos being one of my favorite things. This week Tracey and I are planning on making quite possibly the BEST Nacho Recipe yet…..here is a hint…it involves sweet potatoes, bacon and it’s totally Weight Watcher friendly!
Today’s WORKOUT was tough, but, good. I challenged myself to see if I could run a mile straight without stopping (usually I walk/run in intervals)…..and I DID IT!
* I ran 1 MILE without stopping and boosting my speed every 30-60 seconds from 5.0-6.5 mph.
* I recovered during a 10 minute power walk
* Then, I finished with ONE HUGE HILL on the elliptical putting the cross ramp up to 20 so it hits all your leg muscles, then, starting at a resistance of 10 and moving it up by 1 each minute until I got to 20. The last minute is 30 seconds at 19 and 20.
I was surprisingly NOT hungry after working out so I waited until my body told me I was hungry 3 hours later ~ awesome!
Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Burrito (6 points+)
Super Sweet Organic Raspberries.
I brought my lunch today (the same as yesterday) but I honestly didn’t want it at all….sometimes that happens ~ there is always tomorrow . I really think it was the 70 degrees of sunshine outside that made me want to get out.
I ended up walking to Tacubaya and getting chips & salsa the most delicious take out.
Crunchy Chicken Tostada with Spicy Chipotle Slaw (8 points+)
It was THIS salad that drew me there….I am IN LOVE with it! This is only a HALF salad ~ crazy huge (3 points+)
“Ensalada de Primavera– mixed greens, shredded cabbage, carrots, red onion and avocado tossed in a lemon vinaigrette, sprinkled with toasted pumpkin seeds.”
Train Snack! I actually pondered getting an iced coffee but when I really thought about it and the fact I didn’t have any dairy today, I decided on a Medium Iced Dirty Latte (4 points+).
I had planned on making the Inside Out Bacon Sliders on Hawaiian Buns when I got home but we both were not that hungry.
Instead, I made us Egg Salad Sandwiches topped with crushed red pepper flakes. I LOVE how it makes it look like bacon….next time
1 egg + 2 egg whites + 1 Tbsp reduced cal Mayo+Mustard+ S&P + 1 slice TJ’s FF Multi-Grain Bread = 5 points+ of deliciousness!
Plus a big bowl of fruit shared with The Husband.
My I don’t want to cook or do anything resembling cooking dinner
I was proud of myself for actually MAKING a real dinner because all I really wanted was to eat this entire bar little by little……
2 squares for 3 points+
I LOVE how you can taste the buttery crispy toffee with hints of the sea salt ~ LOVE!

What is your most favorite chocolate in the world?
I have to admit I LOVE ChocoLOVE ~ all types especially Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Almond, but, I am also a big fan of those Jo’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Caramels and Scharffen Berger’s Milk Chocolate Sea Salted Almonds……Now I need to add Godiva Milk Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel to the list.
Who says you have to have just one….doesn’t it all just depend on your mood.
Do you drink anything when you have your chocolate?
I LOVE coffee with my chocolate especially if it’s a dark chocolate, but, I know others who say red wine and chocolate.
Off to work on recipes (2/3’s of the way done!) and catch some zzzzzz’s!
Night all!
Robyn @ Blueberries and Oats says
Good job pushing yourself on your workout! Sometimes you can surprise yourself!
I feel a little like a copy-cat but the Chocolove Dark Chocolate with Almonds and Sea Salt is my favorite chocolate as well. Salt just goes soo well with chocolate.
I think I prefer chocolate with wine over coffee. I never drink straight coffee so it’s too creamy to go along with something creamy like chocolate.
Can’t wait for your recipe page to be up! I seriously check everyday >.> I really need some good recipes!

You are really doing great with the workouts! Way to push yourself!!
Chocolate is a major weakness of mine-found some chocolate covered graham cracker bites at Whole Foods-way too good!!
I must know what the Inside out bacon bacon slider is…anything on those Hawaiian rolls are delicious!
Nikki says
I have you to thank for my new love of Joe’s Dark Chocolate salted caramels! I also love World Market’s Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt.
I tried the Godiva one you posted about, but I didn’t like it so much. Not sure why.

Nice work out…I have a hard time pushing myself, I get embarrassed I’ll have to give up if I try to hard.
I LOVE Lindt Chocolate…truffle balls, chocolate bars. And it has to be milk chocolate with a glass of milk. So yummy!!!
Ruby W. says
I like the Lindt Sea Salt Bars. Inexpensive because they always go on sale for either $1.50 – $2.00.
Gail H. says
I’ve never seen any of the bars mentioned above with the sea salt, but I’m now on the hunt! For me it’s gotta be red wine & chocolate! You’ve inspired me with the cooking Danica, now I’m waiting for your exercise inspiration to kick in 🙂
Alissa says
Great job on running a mile! That’s such an accomplishment! 🙂
I LOVE chocolate. I love dark chocolate of any kind. Godiva is my favorite brand. I also like Lindt. Basically, I like all of the expensive kinds. 😉 I’ve never tried any with sea salt- I have to do that!
Sarah S says
I too haven’t seen any of the bars mentioned above. I did look up ChocoLove online…and thought about ordering some…but decided not to.
I DID find the MOST amazing ice cream yesterday at Kroger (not sure if you have that store)…and the only reason I bought it is because of you. Kind of. It’s Kroger brand. It’s Caramel with chocolate truffle with sea salt. Nope…not WW friendly…but I had to try since it’s the closest I’ve come to finding chocolate with sea salt. It might just be the best ice cream EVER!!!
My favorite chocolate is either an original Cadbury egg…or Tobleron (I think I didn’t spell that right)
So…I have a question. Again…because of you and your other commenters, I bought the 30 day shred. I’m never going to go to a gym…so I needed something else. Now…let me just say I don’t exercise. EVER! I hate it, so needless to say, I ‘m out of shape. OMG how can anyone do that exercise?? Please lie to me and tell me it gets easier after the first couple times. I did it about 5 minutes of it Monday and my legs are still killing me. 🙁 I was just hoping to find SOMETHING I could do at home. Any other ideas??

Last summer, I was sent chocolates by Derry Church Artisan Chocolates to review and they were out of this world. They were so good, eating just one piece a night for a treat was satisfying.

But, you can’t just grab those at the market. My favorite bar that I buy at Wegmans is Theo’s Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch. It’s got a nice amount of sea salt in it.
brandi says
that chocolate looks so good!
i love having coffee OR red wine with really dark chocolate. it makes both things even better!

I can’t wait for Friday!! I have the bacon…and I gotta check how many sweet potatoes I have. Whoohoo 🙂 I love egg salad for any meal! That looked good & easy on a HOT night that ya don’t wanna cook! 🙂
Great job on the exercise & pushing yourself to the next level! YOU GO GIRL! 🙂
Marcia says
I love any kind of dark chocolate and this one from TJs would be perfect if it were dark. Wait, maybe they have it in dark at TJs. Maybe I’ll go get me one at lunch! And who can stop at 2 squares?
The Healthy Engineer says
That iced dirty latte always makes me so thirsty!
And I love any type of dark chocolate…and can you believe I’ve never tried chocolate with sea salt or salted caramel. Clearly I’m missing out.
Ashley @ CoffeeCakeandCardio says
I can’t say that I have a favorite chocolate brand… but I LOVE Flakes by cadbury. So yummy. I know… it’s not Reaaaal chocolate, but it’s yummy.
Vanessa says
Call me weird, but I’m not really a huge chocolate fan!! However if it has pb mixed with it…im drooling!! My addiction is pb. My fav chocolate would be dark and with almonds.I think the chocolate you had looks amazing. It has to be if it’s Godiva! 🙂
Roz says
Yay you on that workout!!! I love Green and Black’s dark chocolate. It’s soooo smooth. OOOH…maybe I’ll grab some after weigh in tomorrow as a treat. Have a good day Danica.
Lucia says
Great job on your workout.
I have become obsessed with the sea salt caramels, and I have found it in one place but the caramel was not fresh. I did see the Godiva bar at Barnes and Noble, almost bought it but I was reluctant because of the toffee pieces….
My favorite chocolate are Baci Perugina (Dark chocolate with hazelnut), It also has a romantic message in each one of them. My fav drink with chocolate is coffee.

Hi Sarah,
You are so cute! Yes, it honestly does get easier over time and I too struggle with getting through it/it makes me sore after. Here is a link to some of my favorite workouts that I think can be easier to start with at home.
http://astore.amazon.com/dansdai-20?_encoding=UTF8&node=5
I think the Biggest Loser The Workout, the Last Chance Workout and the Prevention 1-2-3 are easier than the Shred.
You know the first “exercise” I started with because like you I don’t like the gym, was just walking. I would use my lunch hour to go walking at lunch or go for a morning or evening walk. You don’t have to go far and you can start off with just 15 minutes and challenge yourself to get to the next blog. I even bought the Weight Watchers Walk It CD that you can listen to on your ipod/mp3 player as you walk. It has 20, 30 and 40 minute walks.
Another great way to workout that is fun is to do the Wii or XBox Fitness series. I also LOVE swimming and casually bike riding.
Hopefully that gives you a few ideas. I would be glad to tell you what I think of different videos you are considering because I own way too many LOL.

Hi Marcia,
It’s easy to stop at 2 squares when you savor it with coffee and are not starving. I can do that with Dark Chocolate but not milk chocolate.
