Hi all! I am back today sharing a few of my favorite birthday moments from Friday, my actual birthday. This year I have felt very spoiled by everyone even though this year is different from the others. My husband, friends and co-workers are so thoughtful. Oh and my boss is awesome – he made sure to text, email and called me too just to sing happy birthday lol.
They really made up for missing out on celebrating with my family as we are all no longer in the same town or state.
My day started with The Husband making me a special breakfast while I got ready for work.
The first plate he put in front of me along with my presents….one Spicy 4-5…. yep, he drew that in sriracha.A Sunshine Healthy Eggroll.I skipped Starbucks to save my points for food and I actually did not miss it.
I walked into my office being decorated by my team along with balloons, gifts, cards and more.My friends took me to lunch at Buddha Bistro in Vacaville. They also arrange for The Husband to be there.
We were all served this delicious veggie soup while we decided what to share. My favorite thing – Fresh Avocado Veggie Rolls. I had 2 pieces.I had about 1/3 of all the dishes you see below.
Drunken shrimp noodles on the left and pumpkin curry with shrimp and chicken on the rice. This was served with brown rice.I only had a little of this Thai garden basil chicken as the fresh bamboo was so strong.I got set up in the afternoon bybmy scheming coworkers thinking I was going to be in a meeting. As we walked to the meeting room, one of my coworkers pushed me into another’s coworkers office saying she needed to see me first – surprise!
Everyone was in there and they got this Oreo cookie and whipped cream cake with my name on it.I had a piece because it had my name on it. It was so good, light and fluffy frosting on the outside with the filling in the middle just like an oreo cookie.I actually told The Husband I wanted to save our dinner out for the weekend because I was not hungry by the time I got home.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes and making my day so special!
This morning, I kept to 2 scrambled eggs with an orange on one of my new birthday place mats. (Zero points!)I spent the morning being responsible, cleaning, doing laundry, planning our menu and grocery shopping.
We stopped for lunch at Jersey Mike’s. I had a mini #7 Turkey and Cheese Mike’s way plus pepperoncini and jalapenos. (8 sp). Plus a few of his Miss Vickie’s chips (3 sp).Normally I pick Teppanyaki as my birthday dinner but I’ve really been craving lobster. I totally blame this Shrimp Boil Instant Pot recipe I want to make with lobster in it too.
We had dinner at Outback Steakhouse.
I started with 2 slices of bread (4 sp).I looked up the points on these Fried Mac & Cheese bites and decided it was worth it to have 2. (6 sp).My first side was a house salad with the tangy tomato on the side (3 sp).My second side was steamed broccoli (3 sp) and my entree steamed lobster that is so good you do not need butter. It doesn’t hurt that it’s zero points too.28 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 9K steps
