Hi all! How was your weekend? We had fun this weekend stocking up at the Farmer’s Market, going to the town of Niles for their annual antique fair and celebrating The Husband’s Mom’s birthday. August is great fun in our family for celebrating birthdays but tough staying on track. I feel like I made pretty good choices today and the best part, I loved everything I ate so I didn’t feel like I was missing out.
Breakfast was all I could manage to pull together when The Husband had me up at 5 am like a kid at Christmas to go to the fair. Yep, I read magazines in the car in our long drives sometimes.
We had lunch with his Mom at Buckhorn Grill before heading to gamble at a local casino. We all won but The Husband was the biggest winner when he accidentally hit max bet of $8.80 but won $480. Naturally he got to buy us dinner at Mary’s for that lol.
We finished tonight finalizing our vacation plans so the countdown is officially on!

Two new things I tried this weekend and loved…
This Spindrift flavor…. blackberry is still my fave.
These Special K Pastry Crisps. These totally hit my craving for a sweet treat.
