Hi all! How was your weekend? Last week was a bit crazy but the weekend was a bit better. I am sure you are wondering what the heck I mean by my title, right?
It goes with my thinking on Weight Watchers after having a great week even if the scale doesn’t show it. I had an awesome week last week and really expected the scale to show it. It did not – in fact, I was up .4 lbs. I had to focus on reframing my thoughts as I was so tempted to say screw it and eat everything I wanted.
The one thought that got me through it was this – if you get a flat tire while driving, you do not say, screw it and pop the other 3 tires.
It could’ve been so easy last week for me to make so many bad choices with the breakfast, lunches and dinner out. Instead, I focused on healthy things even if it meant alot of chicken and veggies. I didn’t give into slashing all the tires.
You know what, it paid off – I lost 4.0 lbs this week!
Definitely a reminder that sometimes our bodies take longer to catch up with all the good things we are doing and to not give up with one not so great weigh in.
This morning we were up early to head to the Alameda Antique Faire. I really wasn’t feeling breakfast at all so I grabbed a Sandwich Bros Turkey Sausage, Egg White Flat Bread (4 sp).Plus a grande nonfat cappuccino with caramel on the top (3 sp). After the fair we decided to have lunch at Red Robin before heading to see the movie Cold Pursuit. While I love Liam Neeson movies, this one was just OK.
I had the ensenada chicken platter with one chicken breast and ranch on the side (6 sp).Post movie I did a little prep for the week making Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs, Banana Berry Muffins and 3 point homemade Healthy Potato Salad.
We made these delicious sliders for dinner. 1 King Hawaiian Sweet Roll topped with a 2 oz patty, 1/2 slice Sargento Ultra thin cheddar, ketchup, mustard and a pickle.plus 1/3 cup potato salad (2 sp).21 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 9K steps – I may do laps around the house to hit 10K
I am not sure what’s on the menu this week as we have 2-3 dinners out. I am planning to grill pork chops and have more sliders tomorrow but that’s as far as I’ve planned.
Night all!
