Hi all! I am so excited to finally be able to share with you all my new adventures in “Bean Counting“. I am officially starting my new job tomorrow at a truly awesome company that aligns so much with my personal passion.
They are the second largest producer of vegetable seeds in the world and the subsidiary I am working at focuses on the research side. I love that they are passionate about sustainability, feeding the world population and that the Farmers participate at every level (think co-op). I can’t wait even though I am a little sad my 4 month break is over.
I made sure to soak up the sunshine and my last weekday Tower Hike yesterday. These baby cows were so cute & curious.View from the top.Followed up with a delicious Thai Lunch at Buddha Thai.Today I got prepared like going back to school with new shoes, pens, pencils, lunchbox and water bottle 😀I also bought a new FitBit Charge 2 yesterday too. It wasn’t really part of the plan but my Charge HR band is starting to split.
The new features of the Charge 2 seem pretty cool too. Now, I just need a name for my new C2.Breakfast before heading out – my last zero point chicken apple sausage, 1 scrambled egg and a Trader Joe’s ”fried” hash brown patty cooked in 1 tsp avocado oil (5 sp).I did a double workout today just in case I do not get the chance tomorrow. C25K 4.2 and Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution.
Since I was heading into Napa, I was tempted to have lunch out. I decided I was not craving any restaurant and made up a plate of everything I wanted instead. Success!
2 oz buffalo chicken, 1 Banana Berry Muffins (4 sp), 1 Tbsp pistachios (1 sp) and an apple.Post shopping snacks – banana and mini Jarlsberg Swiss stick (2 sp).I had a hard boiled egg to keep my hunger in check when I found out we we’re having dinner late and out.The Husband surprised me by saying I should have my last night off free from cooking lol. Truth be told, he knew we had a gift card for Outback burning a hole in his pocket!
I never know what the WW app means when they say 1serving for Outbacks bread. Instead, I calculated a dinner roll with a little whipped butter for 5 sp.This gave me a chance to see how close I got with my healthy Outback Salad recipes this weekend. I have to say, it tastes really close to the same. (4 sp for salad plus 1/3 of the dressing).I ordered steamed lobster (which is zero!) with steamed green beans. The lemon on the side is enough but I counted 2 sp as it looks like they used a little butter with the spice.23 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 15K steps – I might have a piece of See’s Candy for dessert.
Are you all watching the new season of Survivor? We are starting it now….
Night all!

Good luck in your new job. Guess that’s the end of being a daily wino! It will be a challenge to get in all the incredible exercise/walking you’ve been doing but I’m sure you will make it work!

Best of luck in your new job! Sounds like a cool company. How do you like your new Fitbit? I’ve had a fitbit since they first came out but I hate wearing things on my wrist. I have an old Fitbit One and wish I could replace it. Sad they don’t make it anymore…it also counts flights of stairs which I like. Love the pictures of your beautiful hikes. We had 5 inches of snow so far today!
