Hi all! How are you doing? Where to start….I think with thank you. Thanks to all of you who checked in on me with little notes or comments to make sure I am doing ok. While life has been challenging on so many levels lately, I am doing OK. I am sorry for pausing for a bit (I really needed it) but I plan to get back to my dailies.
I’ve actually been learning so much about myself lately and it’s always tough to know how much to share or not on here. I can say that when things are a bit off in my life, my spirit / passion sort of disappears. It’s one of the reasons I stopped posting…I felt like nothing was exciting that I was eating and if I did manage to cook it wasn’t fancy or even good. I’d plan a menu but rarely cook any of it. My passion been missing but it’s still there and I am working on finding it again.
Instead of focusing on the not so good things going on, I’ve decided to focus on the positive and let it build from there. I am proud that while my eats have been so so, I’ve kept my sanity with 30 minute daily workouts most days. I think this is the reason I’ve managed to lose most weeks the past month except last week where I gained 1 lb. It’s time to reverse that!
I’ve also attended and saw my WW buddies each week earning my cute WW Summer challenge charm!I haven’t killed my garden this year totally and my tomatoes are thriving!Believe it or not, but, eggs haven’t actually sounded good lately (unheard of for me I know).
Trader Joe’s Blueberry Waffle topped with 1 Tbsp almond butter (7 sp).Daily happiness in a cup – tall iced nonfat latte with caramel drizzle on top (2 sp).I had the best lunch today catching up with one of my great friends at Wok of Flame. I made sure that we earned our lunch by walking the 20 minutes to / from.
I had one of these crispy vegetarian eggrolls so good! (4 sp).2 homemade chicken potstickers (4 sp).Hot n Sour soup (2 sp)Kung Pao chicken with Steamed Veggies only. I did not finish and can confess the veggies were mostly left behind (8 sp).Speaking of ‘cooking’, I was actually inspired today to make a big batch of this Greek Tortellini Pasta Salad.
It didn’t heat up the house and was actually quite therapeutic to make chopping everything up when the pasta cooked.Tangy, crunchy, fresh, sweet, salty and so fun to eat with all the different textures and flavors. (6 sp).33 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 11K steps
Night all!

I think that those ups and downs are very natural without sounding too weird every single plant and animal goes through seasons were they are peaking and not! Why then as humans do we always expect ups? Be gentle you’ll get there!

Have missed your posts! I’ve been in a bit of a cooking (and workout) rut this summer, also.

I love seeing your dailies and understand how difficult it must be to always try to post original and inspiring content. You are doing a great job, and just remember to be gentle on yourself and take care of you. We will always be here to cheer you on and be inspired by your posts. Know we are thinking of you – take care of yourself Danica!

I’m so glad you’re okay! I was getting worried. Share as much (or as little) as you see fit. We adore you no matter what, Danica!

Agree with others! Love your posts and miss you but understand the blahs that come with cooking/food. I’ve been on that same route…nothing sounds good. Don’t know what to eat…be kind. This too shall pass.
