I HAVE made my own pasta (and my own gnocchi). I had the best success when I made the pasta with the 00 semolina flour, yum!! Served it with a browned butter sauce, oh and lobster! 😉
I was teaching a friend how to cook, and taught him gnocchi, he now makes a gnocchi carbonara, in fact it’s the first meal he ever prepared for his future wife! 🙂

I am 100% Italian and yes I have made my own homemade pasta with my mother.
It is a lot of hard work but so worth it. Haven’t made any in a long time because of the age of my parents but I have many happy memories.

I made my own pasta about 3 months ago with my 25 year old son. He loves to cook and wanted to try pasta. I reached far back into my memory to the times I saw my grandmother make pasta. It took a few tries, but we were able to get about 3 servings of fettuccine! It would be great to have a some fancy gadgets to help!

I’ve made homemade pieroggis with my dad and my sister before. So yummy!
My husband, the chef, taugt me how to make spinach pasta. My kids LOVE it. They only want butter and parm on it. It is their favorite meal. In fact, at school when they are asked to draw a picture of their favorite food, they usually draw a plate with green squiggley lines. the teachers can never figure it out. Its pretty funny.
