Happy Friday all! Have I ever told you all about my 10 minute workout game I play with the voices in my head? I usually find the hardest part of most workouts is just getting started. I tell myself all I have to do is workout for 10 minutes and if I am not feeling it, then, I can check off my 10 minutes of activity and feel proud. Honestly, once I get going I am usually good to go and I want to finish my entire workout. It just took a little convincing to get started.
My bare minimum for today’s activity was my 36 minute jog/walk for C25K 2.3 – I knocked this out no problem. My bonus workout was an attempt at Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution week 3. Can I just say she really picks up the intensity in week 3?! After 20 minutes I was done – it was hard. Next week though, I am doing the full thing!
I used my other Cheddar & Chive biscuit to make a ham & egg biscuit for breakfast. Paired with a cutie for 5 sp.I had another Trader Joe’s Quinoa Cowboy Burger for lunch with a batch of butternut squash fries. I love fries, especially when they are zero points. I really wanted to roast the entire squash, but, I resisted. (5 sp)
To make the fries, preheat your oven to 450. Cut into fry shapes, spray with non-stick spray and a little sea salt. Place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or a silpat. Bake for 18 minutes flipping half way through.I was still hungry so I grabbed 2 Tbsp cashews (3 sp) and a banana.Mid afternoon, I decided today was the day to get my last Free Birthday coffee – at Peet’s.
Small Nonfat Cappuccino with caramel on top (2 sp).The husband devoured the toppings for our salads as fast as I was cutting them all while trying to decide if this a chef or Cobb salad – it has bacon, egg & cheese like a Cobb but ham and cheese like a chef salad. Maybe it’s a Chef-y Cobb salad lol. Whatever you call it, it was super filling, fun to eat and delicious.Here is what’s in my 4 SmartPoints bowl:
- Mixed lettuces with cabbage & carrot
- Cucumber
- Tomato
- Mini sweet peppers
- Chickpeas
- Egg
- 1 slice Trader Joe’s Peppered Turkey Bacon
- 3 slices Hillshire Farms Natural ham
- 1 slice Jarlsberg RF Swiss
- Dressing: 1 tsp evoo, balsamic, red wine vinegar & salt/pepper
And simply because we had it, I had one leftover Cheesy, Pesto Stromboli Slice for 3 sp.22 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 14K steps
